This rental is attractive in terms of location and nice community amenities. The community has several pools, it’s a short walk to the beach and is fairly close to downtown New Smyrna. The one overriding negative concern is road noise. Otherwise, the general feeling that one has over time is that most of the furnishings are tired and worn out. They became less comfortable as time went on. The bedrooms needed dressers with drawers or something similar. The bathrooms needed updating. Similarly, the kitchen, while “fully equipped” is really not set up for folks who plan to do a lot of cooking, e.g. the only frying pan was big enough for a couple of eggs. Finally, there should be some sort of instructions with the Direct TV set up. We figured the main unit out through trial and error" (6/5)
